Ethnographic Museum "Vītolnieki"

The branch of the Latvian Ethnographic Open-Air Museum "Vītolnieki" is located in the village of Ķoņi, Pape. The museum complex is a traditionally typical seaside village fisherman's farm, which offers to see the old buildings, Pape fisherman's tools and clothes, clothes and a more than 1,100 year-old single boat.
Preserved in the farm - a house, a barn, a stable, a barn, a pig barn, a cellar, a smithy, a sauna, a summer kitchen and a barn. The fisherman's farm has old household items. Natural materials are used in the construction of buildings - clay, wood, stone. The houses built here are characterized by thatched roofs, which are fixed in the roof ridge with their so-called "slippers" or "stork cocks".
Opening hours: May - October. The museum is open daily from 10:00 to 18:00, closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Closed in winter.
